What can be in the utomost of our hearts except the Divine? if we expect him to be always present, he is always present in our hearts. if we expect the divine to be all merciful and compassionate, He is always there to make things easy and smooth. But if we doubt His mercy and compassion, then there is no mercy and no compassion.

If we trust the divine, he is always with us to guide us and protect us. Such is He in His relationship with us. If we are convinced that there is the Divine within us, surely, He is there constantly present.

When you are really disgusted with outer circumstances, draw your energy within - go deep into your heart. That will help you in uniting with the Divine.

If you feel your heart so tight and soffocated, you must do this: Try to open it to the Divine so that the Divine can put His Force and His Presece into it. Then, of course, you do not feel lonely and unhappy.

As a flower opens to the sun, so must your heart open to the Divine. Physically one cannot open the heart but one can imagine like this - by taking the example of flowers.

You say, "I want to be cured of this": unfortunately it is not enough to say "I want", there are other parts of the consciousness which hide themselves so that you may not take any notice of them, and when your attention is turned away these parts try to assert themselves. That is why I say and shall always repeat: Be perfectly sincere: do not try to deceive yourself, do not say, "I have done all I can."  I am against indiscriminate use of any medicine, and when a medicine becomes fashionable there is a tendency to use it indiscriminately.
 
An hour's moving about in the sun does more to cure weakness or even anaemia than a whole arsenal of tonics. My advice is that medicines should not be used unless it is absolutely impossible to avoid them: and this "absolutely impossible" should be very strict.
 
The doctor gives me medicines - I observe the medicines: they cause as much disorder as they do good. They do good to one thing and harm to another. So afterwards that has to be set right. You never get out of it.
