Body is made out of the raw material -- five elements.
Thus Panja Boodham (five elements) is in the body
Space and Air elements – Vata Dhosha
Fire and Water elements – Pita Dhosha
Water and Earth elements – Kapa Dhosha
Life is a balance of five elements and thus the balance of three Dhoshas. If anything reduces, increases, we get a problem.
Let us say we are struck here for next four hrs due to heavy rains. Then it means the Earth element is more and Air element is less. , We need movement, to get out of this place. If we activate the Air element as well as the Fire element either rain will stop or we will find an avenue to move. Thus we can manipulate life, by learning how to manipulate the five elements.
How to Manipulate the Five Elements
Using Thumb which represents I, one can increase/activate or reduce/pacify an element.
Fire element is important to make the change and to change the outlook.
Reframing: everything happens for good. Try to see good in bad is experience. When we look back, then we realize that whatever has happened is for good. To understand the meaning of an event then and there, then Fire element is required.
More Fire Element means Less of Earth element
Mental symptoms: Impatience, Rage, Anger, Jealousy, Critical, Pride, Arrogance, Opinionated, and Inclined to Argue
Physical symptoms or ailments: Inflammation, High BP, Burning Sensation, Acidity, Excessive Sweating
If somebody keeps changing emotionally then Fire is more.
Harmony in marriage: if Fire element is more in one partner, the other partner has to increase their Earth element and there will be calm.
More Earth Element means Fire element is less
When one can’t understand a subject then it means Earth element is more and less of Fire element. There is a Tamil Expression for stupid people, “Un Thalaila Mannu Unnakku” – means your head is filled with mud.
Indications: Low Self-esteem, Lack of Confidence, Not able to Say No, Lack of Enthusiasm, Laziness, Dullness, Possessive, Smug and Complacent (a student doing his 10th standard thinks if he gets 45 marks then that is enough), Status Quo, No Ambition in Life, Stubbornness and Stingy.
Physical symptoms or ailments: Poor Digestion, Loss of Appetite, Obesity, Scanty Menses, Short Sight and Less Thirst.
Stagnation in job: Earth element is more
Kapa Dhosha à Earth and Water elements
Balanced Kapa Dhosha: Stamina, Peace, Relaxation, Rest, Calm and Composure, Steady, Slow and Graceful, Cool, Tolerance, Forgiving, Patience and Endurance like the expression ‘he has the patience like mother earth.
Saving money – Earth element has to be more
Save our energy – Earth with Water
They have the capacity to console others, and respect others feelings. An unnatural death happens in a family. No body in the family knows what to do. Somebody will come and does everything, even if he is not known well to the family. In him, Kapa Dhosha is in plenty and in balanced form.
No sleep, many thoughts, one thought replaces another thought, means Air element is more. When thoughts are more reduce Air and Space as well.
When you activate Earth and Water, you will activate relaxation
If they are angry, the Fire element is more. To pacify it you have to react in a different way. When an unusual response is given, they don’t have a choice but to react in a different way. If you activate Water and Earth elements, then you will become patient and relaxed.
By activating Fire element, we are reducing Earth element. Fire is reduced if there is more Earth. So activate the Earth element to reduce Fire, which is more when we get angry. Thus you toggle between them – when one is increased, another one gets reduced.
We can reduce our Anger by closing Surya Nadi – the right nostril and activating Chandra Nadi – by breathing through left nostril that makes you cool-headed. It will reduce your temptations too. Some Yogis living in Himalayas do this practice to release their temptations.
Thumb (both hands) touching the tips of Ring Finger and Little finger.
The mental state Worry is linked with the scarcity situation. Lack of money = Worry. Enough money on hand creates a mental state of relaxation and calmness. When you do this Mudra, you activate your calmness. This calmness in turn brings money.
A student of Naran S. Balakumar was about to be fired. He did this Mudra for a few days. Within a week, his job was renewed and got a good hike too. His feedback is: “I didn’t know when I went to sleep. So I don’t know whether this Mudras works or not!” The additional benefit of this Mudra is you will sleep like a child. A child feels safe and secure under the protection of his parents. So you would feel safe and secure too.
While you are Relaxed and Sleeping, the Universal Mind is Awake and it works very hard to get not only what you want, but more than what you want!!!
Money Flow through Switch Words
Spoken words are not that powerful. The reason being is, that as soon as you affirm, our conscious mind rejects those suggestions straight way, saying that they are not true. But there are words, about a one hundred of them, found by James T. Mangan (refer the sites: http://powerfulintent.ning.com/group/switchwords, www.switchwords.com). They by pass the conscious mind and have a direct access to our subconscious minds. Thus, they are very effective. In fact they have an immediate effect on us. Let us see one set of switch words to have money flow in our lives.
The Switch words to collect our dues or to have money flow in your life –or from some un-expected or unknown resource, is:
FIND DIVINE ORDER COUNT NOW DONE
Divine Order is required for us to give money and help somebody. The same ‘Divine Order’ resource is triggered to make the debtor give the money back to you. To ‘Find’ the money and ‘Count’ it ‘Now’ and get it ‘Done’,
chant the switch words mentioned above. Subconscious Mind has no barriers. It will make it happen for you.
When thoughts are more reduce Air and Space as well.
Vata Dhosha à Air and Space elements
If Vata Dhosha is balanced, then:
Vata Dhosha Less: Dullness, Lack of Enthusiasm, Loss of Memory, Lethargy, Drowsy, Heart beat is slow, and has a Nervous Breakdown
Vata Dhosha More: Indecision (why), Restlessness, Impatience, Panic, Attention Deficiency, Joint Pain, Numbness, Stammering, Anxiety, Constipation, and Hiccups (to reduce Vata increase Earth and Water elements)
Explanation for Constipation: Air means movement, but the same air, if in excess, blocks the bowel movement as excess air blocks water in pipes and will stop the flow.
Joint pains: more Air element
Pita Dhosha à Fire and Water
Balanced Pita: Sharp Intellect, Understanding and to Concentrate while Studying (Air movement keeps somebody studying)
Fire element is essential for transformation from one stage to another. If you can’t move to the place of your desire, then Earth is more. If marriage didn’t happen, Fire and Water element has to be increased for the girl (Water means relationship).
There are only two who have all the three Dhoshas balanced. They are lord Rama and lord Krishna. When they have to be angry, they are angry. When they have to be relaxed, they are relaxed. To get that balance in yourself, please pray to them. You will gain that energy.
You may chant the famous chant: “Hare Rama Hare Krishna”. Then you will get access to their energy. Gandhi is one person who has done that.
Activate Air and Space elements. Air element is for movement. We need Space element to move about.
You may chant “Halfway” the switch word. Whenever you want to accomplish something quickly, chant this word.
To increase weight increase Earth element
To reduce weight, pacify Earth element, by activating Fire element. Fire element will burn the extra mass and tissues – cellulites and the result will come as water, in the form of sweat.
Let say you have a problem in some part of your body – Sore Throat for example, then it means the vital essence is less in that part. It doesn’t mean that other parts have less Prana. By doing Vital Essence Circulation Mudra, you can send energy to that part.
In general to increase the vital essences in your body do the Hara Mudra. After doing it for 10 to 15 minutes, do the Circulation Mudra.
This section describes about Mudras for life transformation and meditation. It explains how meditation can be practiced through Mudras and how one can one improve awareness of one self? When we activate the energy connected to God Source and then by bringing it to our heart, we gain an understanding of who we are – which we have forgotten as soon as we took birth in this earth.
There are two memories – Cosmic memory and Evolutionary memory. Cosmic memory is in our heart – Aham Brahmasmi. Evolutionary memory – it is a collection of memory from our monkey ancestors to our past lifetimes. We live our life through evolutionary memory only. The real purpose of life is to find who we are. That can happen if only our cosmic memory is put to use or activated. You can chant any mantra if you wish so.
Instructions:
There are five Mudras to do this practice.
1. Vital Essence Mudra: activates Prana in Hara and Basic Chakras. It has the capacity to cleanse those areas and energizes them. Your spiritual journey begins here (duration 5 minutes).
2. Acceptance Mudra: helps you to accept others as they are. Solar Plexus Chakra is cleansed and energized. Releases ego, pride. Very good for digestion. A must after eating heavily (5 minutes).
3. Heart Mudra: Increases the Prana in Heart Chakra. Kindles love energy in you. (10 minutes). Visualize energy coming from lower chakras in the form of White light, from behind you and on both sides, and gets stored in the Heart Chakra. This Mudra is the medical kit for Heart Patients.
4. Adi Mudra: visualize energy flowing from Heart Chakra to back Third Eye Chakra, from there to front Third Eye Chakra, and then to join universal energy through Crown Chakra. Visualize that the energy merges completely with Universal energy. This is symbolically denoted in Vaishnavaitism, where only Lord Narayan is male, while all others are women. The male here denotes Universal Energy, while the energy in us is the female energy. (10 minutes)
5. From there we have to bring that energy back to Heart Chakra, while doing the Bliss Mudra. In this Mudra, the thumb touches all the first three fingers except the little finger. Why it’s called a Bliss Mudra?
a. When I touch the index finger, I activate the downward movement of Universal male and female energy from Crown Chakra to Heart Chakra.
b. By touching the tips of middle finger (Space element) and ring finger (Earth element), “I am here.”
c. Since Time and Space are one, I am here and now.
d. I sit in this Earth and so the Space Element (middle finger) comes to Earth as well.
e. So we become here and now as we have Time and Space in our hand. (30 minutes)
By asking the right questions to our own mind within, (Vichara) we can deactivate the reactions of mind. By doing meditation through Mudras we can activate the Cosmic Memory and become aware of who we are.
Shobana:
My servant is a talented one and does a perfect job. Though, she needs a good mood to back it. If her mood is bad she won’t do well. During morning she is lazy, while in the afternoons and evening hours she is very active.
Naran:
This indicates Earth element is more in her. Such people will not sleep until late night.
For the servant’s mood swings you may use the Switch Word “MOVE UP” or the Bach flower remedy Scleranthus.
Air element is required for planning, and for action we need the Fire element – execution indicates Fire element.
Rapt attention: Listening – touch middle finger – as ear is a Space element, thoughts will move so reduce Air and activate Fire.
When we are sad Earth and Water elements are activated.
In one of Naran S. Balakumar's monthly classes, a person mentioned that we need to erect a statue for Wolf. Why? When you ask the animal spirit of Wolf to help, you will know her statement is 100% correct.
Let us see what happened to Pattabiraman, who was traveling with nine of his friends to Madurai. They boarded the train without any confirmed tickets. He called Wolf to help him to get the reservations done. Within one hour of the journey, each one of them got reserved seats.
In another occasion Pattabiraman was traveling to Srirangam, along with seven old people. All of them were allocated Upper Berth. They chanted Wolf continuously. All of them were re-allocated to Lower Berth.
Many have got parking space by calling Wolf for help. Just request it as you will request a friend. It will help you by all means. When you are caught in a situation, where you are desperately looking for help, call upon Wolf. It will help you for sure.
Temple Dharshan
Sumathy went to Tirupati temple. Initially she could get tickets for normal Dharshan only. She chanted the flower remedies “Gorse, Clematis” when she was going up the mountains. She eventually got VIP Darshan.
The combination Gorse and Clematis is an excellent Dharshan Pack.
A friend of Naran S. Balakumar visited Sholingur Temple. One has to take the steps on the mountain, which is very steep and a pretty good distance to cover. By the time they reached the temple, it was 5.30 PM. The temple doors were getting closed. She chanted Gorse and Clematis. The priest volunteered to open the doors for them.
Manimaran went to Sabarimala temple last September. It was raining heavily and therefore he found it difficult to climb the mountains. He chanted Gorse and Clematis as per the SMS message sent by his wife. He got a good Dharshan. On top of it, he got 4 more Dharshans, using the back door entrance. Please note here, that nowadays they don’t allow anybody to do the Dharshan from the back door. It was an unofficial gesture by the Temple authorities on that day.
Scleranthus, Hornbeam and Walnut
One of the students of Naran S. Balakumar had filed a case against the government, regarding a land belonging to her. The government wanted to acquire it from her, like the way they did with several others, to start an industrial zone.
She registered a case against them to stop them from acquiring her land. On top of that she wanted the government to allocate some land to be used as a pathway to her plot.
Naran S. Balakumar asked her to write her wish – a wish that she wanted it to happen, on a piece of paper. She placed the paper in a small box. She gave Reiki to the box, twice a day, for a period of one month.
After a few months of court hearings, the government decided to relinquish acquiring her land. Also, they agreed to sell her the land required for the pathway too, though 2.5 times the original cost. She filed another case for that. She used the Reiki Box for this wish too. Eventually, the government agreed to sell her at the market price.
As her wishes have been fulfilled, she dipped the (intention/wishes) papers in a glass of water – to release them to the Universe. Then she threw them in the dustbin.
There are five elements – Space, Air, Fire, Water and Earth. Using these five elements, we can manipulate our life as well as physical problems. To solve physical problems we need perseverance and discipline. We have to sit and do Mudras for a longer period of time and of course we don’t want to do that.
When there is a physical problem, we can improve with help of Mudras. We can also meditate using Mudras. We can also form our own Mudras. If we know how it works then we can form our own Mudras.
Mudras are special techniques or locks that are applied in a way that can impact any part our bodies – Pranic, Mental, Emotional and Physical. Like the circulation of the blood, Prana is circulated inside us. We can do Mudras to lock them in any place we want.
What’s the specialty of Mudra in healing practices?
There are many therapies of healing available. All of them are good in some way. However, they focus on one aspect of our body. For example, Allopathic practices concentrates on physical body only. It does not include the mind of the patient into consideration. So that system has side effects.
Neither psychotherapy alone will not work nor can affirmations alone help for physical body problems. Sometimes they do. Though not all the times, for they don’t consider other aspects of human beings.
Homeopathy considers all aspects of human beings. However, it’s a complex system. A few people understand so there is lot of failure too.
Pranic healing and Reiki healing manipulate the Pranic body only. You can do a lot with Reiki as touch healing is applied and thus body pranic body and mind are involved.
The one therapy that combines body, mind and Prana is Mudras.
Ayurveda is formed based on the principles behind the Tridhoshas. When Ayurvedic medicines are given – which are made out of natural herbs, they also has those properties. We don’t follow the rules told to us. In fact we break it. Then we say Ayurveda takes longer time. In Ayurveda and Siddha, proper food practices are important. But we don’t feel comfortable following them.
Life is only a movement towards an end – a goal post. It ends to begin again. The day a child is born we say its fate has been written. So life begins to end.
Everybody likes Potato (earth element). After cooking (fire element) it becomes another product, an eatable one. After eating it’s eliminated as excretion. So, life’s nothing but a change in one form to another. If banana goes and comes as banana, then it means we are sick.
Life requires movement, for that we need to have flexibility. The fetus becomes a baby. A baby becomes a child after 2 years. Then it becomes an adolescent, adult and then starts regressing. We progress first, and then start regressing until we die.
It looks so simple but, it’s so complex too.
